BANDON, OR - Bryce Fisher, of Arrowhead Golf Club, in his first time playing in the PGA Professional Championship, the national championship for club professionals, tied for 10th after shooting a final round 71 (1-under) to finish the tournament at 1-over on Wednesday.

The final two rounds were played at Bandon Dunes, at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, in Bandon, Oregon, where the wind played a major factor in the conditions.

“The third and fourth rounds were among the toughest tests of tournament golf I’ve experienced. The combination of strong winds and challenging pin placements made it an excellent test.” Fisher said.

Fisher was 1-under through the front nine on Wednesday, with two birdies before another birdie on hole 13. But consecutive bogeys on holes 14 and 15 put him in a tie for 22nd.

The low 20 scorers advanced to compete in the 2026 PGA Championship as members of the Corebridge Financial Team.

But Fisher delivered again in a clutch moment, bouncing back on hole 16 with a birdie that pushed him back into the top 10, where he would finish after pars on the last two holes.

“The back nine at Bandon in that wind is a roller coaster. You have to erase every shot from your mind and start fresh for the next challenge. My caddie and I really worked to stay in that mindset, but looking back, it was a big momentum shift for me,” Fisher said. “The 16th was a great reminder of how closely golf mirrors life.

“Sometimes you can do everything right and still not get the result you deserve. Other times, nothing seems to be going your way until it suddenly turns around. On 16, I hit a perfect tee shot that somehow ended up in a divot, leaving me with a 40-yard shot I couldn’t pitch; I had to putt. I managed to get lucky and walked away with an unexpected birdie.”

The top 10 finish now means Fisher will make his way to the 2026 PGA Championship, a major championship on the PGA Tour in two weeks, May 14-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania.

“I’m not sure it’s hit me just yet, I’m just feeling very blessed. Being able to have this opportunity, experience it all with my wife Jessie, daughters, Charli and Andi, and my parents was so special!” Fisher said.

Jesse Droemer of Houston, Texas, won the 2026 PGA Professional Championship at 4-under overall.

Collin Inglis was the last Oregon Chapter PGA member to qualify for the PGA Championship back in 2022 at Southern Hills when he was the assistant pro at Shadow Hills Country Club in Eugene.

Fisher was the only player from the Oregon Chapter PGA to qualify for the PGA Professional Championship this week at Bandon Dunes.

For Fisher, this moment of all-around great play in tough, windy conditions at Bandon Dunes will provide lifelong memories that he will take with him.

“So many great memories honestly, too many to count. Just having the chance to compete in a tournament like this, at a place like Bandon, surrounded by family, friends, caddies, and fellow professionals, means everything. To then play well and qualify for a major championship on the PGA Tour is truly a dream come true.” Fisher said.

Soon, the test will shift to the Aronimink Golf Club, where Fisher will go up against the best on the PGA Tour, including 2025 PGA Championship winner Scottie Scheffler, who will be defending his title.

Fisher, who is 46, will be creating more lifelong memories and perhaps making his own run at the 2026 PGA Championship in just two weeks.
