BANDON, OR - Bryce Fisher, from Arrowhead Golf Club, fired a 71 (1-under) on Monday, to earn his way past the cut line at the PGA Professional Championship held at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort this week. He sits at +1 for the Championship in a tie for 36th place, after shooting a 71 at Bandon Dunes to jump inside the top 90 who made the cut. He jumped 63 spots after round one.

Fisher started on the back nine on Monday, shooting 1-over at the turn, before going two under on the final nine holes, including five birdies, to catapult his way inside the top 90.

“Making the cut wasn’t the goal but it is a milestone I have to accomplish to reach my goal.” Fisher said.

Fisher shot a 73 on Sunday at Pacific Dunes in the opening round of the Championship. He was four over on the round heading on to the 16th hole, before salvaging the round with birdies on hole 16 and hole 18.

Fellow Pacific Northwest Section member, Austin Hurt from Bainbridge Island, Washington, leads the tournament at 8-under.

Fisher attended and played golf at Oregon State University and is the owner and general manager of Arrowhead Golf Club.

He is making his PGA Professional debut after finishing sixth in the Pacific Northwest PGA Championship after earning his Class A membership in 2025.

Fisher will tee off at 10:33 am Tuesday in the third round, where he will chase a top 20 spot, which would give him a spot in the 2026 PGA Championship.

“A top 20 finish is still within reach, and it’s another important milestone toward my ultimate goal of winning the tournament. I’m in a solid position right now, I just need to keep improving each day.” Fisher said.

Fisher is representing the PNW Section, but is the only competitor based in Oregon in the PGA Professional Championship.

“There are so many great players in Oregon. It’s an honor to represent the state at an event like this. It being at Bandon is icing on the cake. Feel very blessed for the opportunity. Bandon is an incredible place!” Fisher said.

Michael Block, who made a run in the 2023 Championship and hit a hole in one in the final round of that tournament playing alongside Rory Mcliroy is tied for 17th at 2-under.

Fisher was the winner of the 2018 Pacific Northwest PGA Assistant Championship and played on multiple professional tours following college, including the Korn Ferry Tour.

“It’s been a blast so far having my family and parents here has made it even more special. Getting to watch my girls play the Preserve yesterday was a true bucket list moment as a dad.” Fisher said.

“The golf course is perfect, Jeff and his team here at Bandon have done an exceptional job,” Fisher added. “As for my game, I haven’t putted as well as I’d like, but I’ve been hitting the ball well. Hitting good putts they’re just not dropping yet. It’ll come. Looking forward to a few more days out here!”
